During the F2F meeting, the partners involved in Telco PaaS (CORD, VNFaaS, Monitoring as a Service), one of the use-case that the project is advancing, synchronize, discuss and integrate.
The picture below shows operator, academia, vendor and Cloud operator collaborating hand-in-hand on the PoC. This demonstrates the benefit of the collaborative project.
NGPaaS is organizing a F2F meeting from 19 March to 21 March 2019 in Paris. The meeting is hosted by Orange in their new premises Called Orange Gardens.
The meeting will be as usual very intense.

The meeting is hosted by ORANGE and will be runned in ORANGE Gardens in Châtillon, a very nice place.
NGPaaS has been invited to ICIN 2019 to run a demo. The 5G PaaS has been demonstrated where two different cloud native platforms have been instantiated. One for the RAN and another for the CORE. The demonstration capturerd a lot of interest from many attendees.
Besides to this, NGPaaS presented a paper “SDN Controller Requirements for Next Generation Telco PaaS”, Angelos Mimidis and Jose Soler (Technical University of Denmark, Denmark); Fernando Diaz (ATOS, Spain); Aurora Ramos (Atos, Spain); Olivier Choisy (BCOM, France); Gopalasingham Aravinthan (Nokia Bell Labs, France).
NGPaaS will participate in Zero Touch Automation Congress, organized in Madrid, from 26 March to 28 March 2019. The technology developped and the platform approach advanced by NGPaaS are the Key enablers for a clean automation design.
NGPaaS is attending the steering Board in Brussels (29 Jan 2019) to share and align with others projects to foster the impact of 5G-PPP programme.
NGPaaS is demonstrating 5G PaaS, one of the use-case targetted by the project.
If you are interested to see how we deploy the RAN and the CORE in two different Kubernetes clusters, inter-connected with SCTP plug-in (developped in the project).
where each platform is tailored to support its respective services:
▪ Core platform is a standard Kubernetes PaaS supporting SCTP to interconnect with the RAN.
▪ RAN platform is an “accelerated” Kubernetes PaaS supporting (NUMA, CPU pinning, etc)
